Why the hell does it happen?
wow, if you were at the blog a few minutes ago, you’d had found a nice cute message saying “Blog not found”. Scary. I thought blogger deleted the blog, again (deja vu, last time was the same, flickr blocks the site, flickr unblocks the site, a few days later, blogger deletes the site). That’s what happened last time (in october) erasing about 3 months of posts.
Anyway, as you can see, the blog was not deleted, but something weird happened. I had two blogs under this account: flickrbabes and zenetide (personal blog about blogging and about what I’m doing to get to publish the new version of flickrbabes), which was going to be hosted at blogger, but I installed it in its own domain (blog.zenetide.com). Anyway, the zenetide blog at blogger was empty, I never used it. But today, it doesn’t exist, and I didn’t delete it, so my only guess is that blogger, somehow, for some reason, decided that blog was not worth having and deleted it. And as an additional gift, the flickrbabes templates and pages were deleted, though the posts still existed in the database. Weird, isn’t it? maybe it’s a hint from them, telling me that they don’t like the blog? But who doesn’t like the babes of flickr?
Anyway, lucky me, that I learned from my previous experience. I have a backup of all posts until february, and today I made a new backup until april. So, if anything gets lost, I have everything stored in a local wordpress installation.
I know, I know, I promised the blog was going to move to a new host. I already have the host, I already have the blog. It’s just that I’m missing little details (like the daily archives appearing at the footer, similar to this design). But, after this issue, I’ll speed things up, and will try to move the blog to its new hosting as soon as possible.
For now, keep enjoying the site, and by the way, I still haven’t had any beer today, so if anyone wants to send me one, I’ll gladly accept it.
