Yeah, that’s right. My image is being used for a pornographic movie called ‘Body Magic’.
Did they have permission? Did they hell.
This happened a few months back (well, since I found out). Somebody noted me saying this company was using one of my pictures.. actually let me get this straight - a SELF PORTRAIT that I took at the age of FOURTEEN.

This is not nice. Not nice at all. So, if you can help her in any way, it’d be great. Her main problem is that she doesn’t live in the US, while the infringing company is based in Texas. So, lets show some support for her!

A lot of things are not mentioned
How did they get the image? Did she sign a model release form?(perhaps thinking it was for something else?)
What country is she from?
If a model release was signed, in which country did this occur?
(These will determine which country’s Laws apply)
I feel sorry for the girl, but it’s a damned good photo, and this is very good publicity for her (once people get past the fact it’s on a porno DVD, they will see the quality of the photography)
I hope she does well from this

Merak, Did you even read the article? It was a SELF portrait that SHE took. She had it developed at Wal-Mart. I doubt that many people sign model releases for photos they take of themselves.

i don’t think it matters what country she is from, pornography laws in the US i belive find it unlawful the publish photos of underaged girls in photos of a sexual nature. she needs someone in the US to help her get legal council to get this taken care of, i think that’s the only way. i am so sorry for you, sweetie, people are f*ck-tards. i hope you get this taken care of.
